Happy November! This week marks the beginning of the holiday seasons meaning lots of decorating, baking, and holiday parties. I’m sure we’ll all be on the hunt for the perfect holiday dresses but until then I thought I’d feature this floral piece. I wore this long sleeve floral print dress over the weekend. With my summer withdrawals, I naturally gravitated towards it because of its bright colored flowers that brought a sense of tropical warmth into my day. I paired it with leather booties to make it more fall appropriate and a bright lip for a pop of color. It was the perfect dress that day until it began to pour.
I stepped out in the Highlands in layers. Instead of packing a thick, heavy coat for the cool mountains, I brought along many pieces to layer and stay warm in. This oversized cowl neck sweater is one great piece to throw on top of any outfit. I added it over a boyfriend flannel plaid and an unseen long sleeve shirt, which provided the right amount of warmth for the day. I also wore a pair of booties for the first time since last winter. I guess it’s time for me to accept the fact that summer is over and it’s officially plaid and bootie season.
Are you ready for the cooler temps and fall layers?
