Fall is the perfect season for running. With ideal temperatures, beautiful foliage, comfort food, and holidays approaching, I am more than ever motivated to stay in shape now. This is the time of year when I work on my “summer body”.
Running is my least favorite form of exercise, however it’s one I consistently do. It’s the most rewarding activity in terms of instant gratification. A slight shift of ease in my breathe, pace, and body makes me hungry for more. With running, this feeling is sensed immediately. Give it a few days on the same path, maintaing the same distance and speed, and it will get easier. That’s the tricky part about running though. It’s so giving that you must keep challenging yourself in order to see and feel results. Fortunately, all you need is a great pair of sneakers and you can run! Running is a convenient way to workout. You can run in your neighborhood, around the office, on vacation, anywhere, leaving no room for excuses. Keep it up and your body will thank you in a number of ways.
I’ve been pounding pavements in Wave Inspires for the last six years with one pair of Wave Riders in the mix. I can honestly say that I purchase a new pair every year because they provide exactly what my body needs: comfort, support and stability. Mizuno may just be my lifetime running shoe of choice.
Do you own a pair of running shoes? If so, what’s your favorite shoe to run in?
